KTM RC8 emphatically say that 1190 has a weight of the lightest in its class, 207.5 kg. Weight does not include 4.3 gallon fuel capacity, but already includes the weight of other liquids such as lubricants and batteries in it. Ducati 1098 has a weight of 190.5 kg, but not including batteries and other liquids so that makes RC8 lighter.

Maybe a little excessive, but the RC8 is like a mix between the Triumph Sprint ST with a Ducati 1098. More like 1098 of course, but this picture confirms the image and the ability RC8 motorcycle road racing as the prime.

In conclusion, in a way KTM have succeeded in producing a model for competitive motor racing. 1190 RC8 motor is one dream that can become a reference for other motor manufacturers.
